What is your superpower?

Elevate-98

Maybe I am weird but this is something I consider fairly regularly.

What are the traits you exhibit that give you a strong chance of succeeding in life?

Equally what are your traits the people you care about would admire or wish they had?

For me I think two stand out that may be relevant to you achieving your goals…

The first is the time I take between making a decision and actually acting on it is very very quick.

Once I have decided something (of course I do my due diligence first) and getting started is minimal. This means i have far less time to overthink it or change my mind.

This relevant as lots of people I come across are the complete opposite. They spend so long thinking about starting that they put themselves off before they get the chance too.

There are numerous contexts to this. Whether it’s putting your shoes on and leaving the house as soon as you decide your going to the gym or signing up to the new mentor as soon as you have weighed up all the options I think speed can be useful.

*In the interests of balance there are definitely  a few times speed has caused me to make mistakes but I think over the whole picture it’s a positive.

My second trait that I would argue has almost no down side is that I keep promises to myself.

Everyone speaks about accountability from coaches and friends (and that’s important, it’s a big reason Elevate98 works) but accountability to yourself is the real secret sauce.

Our brains have in built mechanisms to remember the promises we break to ourself.

Every time we say we’ll ‘start Monday’ or ‘cook this weekend’ and don’t it’s a notch on our ability to keep the promise to ourself in future.

This is the way you build confidence.

Do the things you said you were going to do.
