I was wrong.
Many times actually.
'Transformations' are something discussed A LOT in the fitness industry.
When we first started I was very clear that it wasn't who we were, we didn't want people getting a 'quick fix' and then reverting to type.
But then we started getting so many results that it would have been rude NOT to share.
This was when I started to realise I had been thinking about it wrong.
A- Transformations aren't all about a before and after photo. I was really guilty of this, as when we were trying to get Elevate98 of the ground sharing our members epic results in the context of a before and after photo was really powerful.
What this did however was make us forget all the other incredible transformations people were making such as (but not limited too):
-Lower resting heart rate and blood pressure.
-Getting stronger in and out of the gym.
-Improved mental health.
-Feeling more confident.
-Completing physical challenges.
-Better family life and relationships.
-Better relationship with food.
-Promotions at work in part due to having more energy and all of the above.
Indeed many members had many of these transformations at once!
B- We believe in transformational coaching, not quick fixes.
I think my other problem was a stereotype I had in my mind that I know many of you are guilty off.
We see a before and after photo on social media and we assume it happened overnight.
To be clear, I DO NOT believe in this. This tends to be quick fixes such as drastic calorie cuts that ruin people's relationship with food and exercise and don't last.
We do however have lots of members who have substantially changed their body shape to the level of these before and afters as well as having a BETTER relationship with food and exercise and achieving all these things I mentioned above.
So I've now come full circle.
I truly believe (and we now have a large body of proof) that our coaching is transformational to someone's life.
We have members who have improved every single area of their life and physique.
We still don't however believe in quick fixes so if that is what you are looking for then we may not be the right place for you...
