Elevate-98

The thing that makes me proudest of our business.

Running a business is blooming hard.

From finances to staff with everything from keeping members happy to negotiating with solicitors stuck in between it keeps me on my toes.

As I had a little weekend away I took time to reflect on the good and the bad within Elevate98 and I came to a realisation on the thing I am most proud of.

The fact we mainly just try and do the same thing but better.

Atkins diet stopped working? I'll try keto.

Spin not doing it for me anymore? Pilates it is!

This job isn't as easy as it used to be so I'll apply for a new one.

Members not having the same buzz they used to? Let's add something new and shiny.

Not getting enough sign ups? Let's try a shiny new programme name.

Finances tight (with a new gym the answer is always yes) let's sell something new and shiny.

We have also added and changed stuff within our business.

Yet at the core we have tried to do what we believe in (quality strength and conditioning training in a welcoming and friendly environment) better rather than changing for changes sake.

You should in my humble opinion be wary of people and places who change with the wind (cough coaches who jump on trends) as quite often they are doing what they think they can sell best as opposed to what they believe in.

I suppose the takeaway message is this:

Before you give up on something consider whether you have given it every chance to succeed...
