We are approaching our 6 month anniversary in our new gym space.
As a small, self-funded business we had to make some sacrifices when moving gyms.
We couldn't quite do EVERYTHING we wanted (although we gave it a damn good shot and the space is pretty epic if I do say so myself).
Heads up, this blog is also about to be a little contradictory...
We are now in a position to make plans for improvements over the next 6 months. We aim to spruce up the bathrooms, get some softer touches at reception, some new gym equipment and some extra signage between now and next April (we will be sending out a survey to members nearer the time for some inspo).
However in the process of building our dream gym we have learned that how premium it looks isn't everything.
We have best in brand gym equipment, a lovely reception area, spacious bathrooms and much more.
Yes these things are important however the reality is that premium is how you feel, not how it looks.
I am much more proud of how welcoming, knowledgeable and caring our team are, how many people smile and get results while in the facility and the expansive timetable (I challenge ANYONE to find a coach-based service in Edinburgh with more flexibility in timetable).
There will be prettier gyms come along than ours (although I'd argue they won't have a better gym set up for Personal Training) but there won't be many that can boast our track records of results.
