The world has changed massively over the last little while.
There are many reasons for this but two in particular impact the topic of my email today.
-Working from home being way more common.
-Alcohol/Nights out becoming less common in certain groups.
A gym owner talking about less alcohol as a bad thing, weird I know.
While objectively both these things are good (working from home can allow a better work life balance and of course drinking less is only a good thing for our health) they can both HUGELY impact our ability to socialise.
Offices/workplaces and clubs/bars were probably the exact places you went to socialise, we then couple in the fact alcohol takes away limitations and makes it easier for us to chat to strangers.
There are so many benefits to having strong relationships and opportunities to socialise I could write a whole blog on them.
In some studies strong relationships are shown to have almost as big an impact on how long you live as not smoking or drinking which is insane.
I think this is one of the key features at Elevate98.
In fitness you generally have two ends of the spectrum.
You can go to the gym on your own with headphones in and ignore everyone or you go the class where the music is so loud you can't hear yourself breathe never mind have a conversation.
Our small group personal training model allows relationships to be built and strengthened alongside building and strengthening our bodies.
Don't underestimate this...
