Nutrition made simple.

Elevate-98

We are in the final stages of our 6 week new year shred and we've seen some fantastic results.

Beyond this, we are putting the final touches on something revolutionary for our testing weeks.

A 3x per year 'Health MOT' if you will that combines our traditional strength testing with longevity, nutrition and wellness.

More to come but it's EXCITING.

Anyway, all this has made me really work on simplifying nutrition and put together a bit of a 'checklist' for it.

I think for MOST people, these areas are where you're focus should lie:

-Eating 1.5/2x you're bodyweight in grams of protein (a 70kg person would eat between 105-140g per day).

-Drinking over 1.5 litres of water per day.

-Eating 80% whole foods.

-Having 3-6 servings of fruit and veg per day.

-Eating a volume of calories that supports you're goal (for example, eat below maintenance if you want to lose weight).

-Eat similarly 85% or more of the time (have good routines).

When you put it like that it really is simple.

The key word here is simple, it's not EASY because there are many other factors at play (hormones, psychology, behaviour change etc) but it is fairly simple.

The issue, as with many things in the modern world, is that you need to stick to these habits for a concerted period of time to see the results you want.

Take Phil for example. He sent me his InBody reading today and he's lost 12kg (almost 2 stone) and 10% body fat since May 31st last year, an incredible result right?

He won't mind me telling you it hasn't been all plain sailing. Lots of the time he's felt he should be doing more or has second guessed whether he needs to change something but by sticking to the basics he has achieved phenomenal results.

Success is just ordinary habits performed for an extraordinary amount of time...

P.S. This is you're last chance to sign up for Friday's run club. Free pizza, a chance of free merch, fresh air and socialising, what better way to spend a Friday?

Remember there will be a variety of paces to suit everyone!
